We would always hear the phrase,
daming ganap! And for this year, this was so true for our beloved Hallyu industry. Not just in KDrama but in the KPop world as well.
Here is my list of events

1. Song Song Couple Divorce
They met and fell in love in the set of their hit drama
Descendants of the Sun. And
grabe ang chemistry! Looking at them and you'd definitely say, "they are meant to be together".
We were so in love with the coupley, and so happy that they are happy, or so we thought.
Sino ang hindi nagulantang sa balita that they are getting a divorce 20 months after that very wonderful wedding?!
This July 2019, their marriage finally ended.

2. Ahn Jae Hyun and Ku Hye Sun Divorce
Another divorce news a few months after the SongSong couple. They were married since May 2016. And
akala natin, at least
sila going strong
pa rin. We were so wrong.
On September 2019, Ahn Jae Hyun filed his divorce law suit against Ku Hye Sun.
Kung gaano katahimik ang SongSong divorce,
ganun naman kagulo ang AhnKu divorce.
Hurtful words were said, unnecessary messages and speculations were posted. It was sad, really.
Good thing this has already died down.
Ahn Jae Hyun has a new drama. And Ku Hye Sun is busy with other things as well.
3. Sulli's Suicide
Sulli is a very sweet girl. She's beautiful. She is loved. But she decided to end her life.
Her depression and how netizens are treating her got the best of her. And she decided to end it all.
On October 2019, she committed suicide.
Ang nakakaiyak, it's how she was treated by fans that made a huge impact on this phenomenon. She was criticized for being different and was attacked online for being "a poor example for the fans" who look up to her.
Until now,
ang naaalala ko sa kanya, was her appearance in Hotel del Luna. And that's how I'm going to remember her.
4. Goo Hara's Passing
Another KPop idol, who took her own life.
November 2019, Goo Hara was found dead.
Although last May, there was an attempt, she was immediately rushed to the hospital. She apologized to fans after that.
Again, she was depressed. Also,
ang laki ng news about her and her former boyfriend.
Na itong si boyfriend,
is blackmailing her. There were also pictures of her having bruises she got from this person. Thankfully, he was sentenced earlier this year for blackmail and assault.
Pero, she still did it. Again, the pressures of being an idol added to the difficulties she is already facing.
5. Cha In Ha, Gone
The year is nearing its end,
at may humabol pang nakakalungkot na balita.
Cha In Ha was found dead in his home, just this month of December. One day before he was found dead,

pa sya, "Everyone be careful not to catch the cold". Who would have though that this would be his last post? No autopsy was requested. Actually, no formal cause of death has been announced till now.
Again, pressure ang speculated reason for his death.
He is currently in the new drama Love With Flaws. And according to the production team, his scenes will be shown as planned.
I'm hoping that these things will not be duplicated next year. The pressures to be beautiful, to do good, to excel will always be there. Sana lang the fans would be more forgiving. These artists are people, too. They are not perfect. They make mistakes. They have their own opinions. They live their own lives.
